By 2027 we will be national leaders in the administration of quality, innovative, bilingual and sustainable education services, contributing to the reduction of social and economic inequalities of the inhabitants of the District of Barranquilla.

We serve and manage an educational service with quality; we execute our programs effectively, we provide timely response to the needs and requirements of citizens, we are a team with a high sense of belonging, committed to continuous improvement, risk management and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

1. Ensure the effectiveness of the programs implemented by the District Secretariat of Education, framed in the Territorial Development Plan.
2. Maintain and manage the operation of the technological infrastructure and information systems of the District Secretariat of Education.
3. Improve satisfaction towards the services provided by the District Secretariat of Education of Barranquilla.
4. Manage risks that may affect the achievement of the results expected by the District Secretariat of Education.
5. Comply with legal requirements and maintain quality certification in accordance with the requirements established by ISO 9001:2015.

The scope of the Secretariat of Education is “Provision of services for the management of coverage and quality in the educational service, attention to citizens who require services, inspection and surveillance of educational establishments in the city of Barranquilla”.
